Since we crossed the international dateline and lost a day, I decided to write once again. Arriving in Queenstown gave me a second wind, and a warm shower washed off the nasty feeling 24 hours of airports and airplanes coats you in. I'm glad we opted to use Airbnb for our visit to Queenstown. We've already met a few very friendly and helpful people.
The home that we're staying at is about a mile from downtown, so we're getting quite a bit of walking in. The first order of business was Thai food for lunch and a grocery run for our backpacking trip. On our way back to the house we walked around the park.
After dropping our groceries off at the house we headed back into town for dinner.
The early evening light was beautiful on the hills around the lake.
There are lots of restaurants in Queenstown, but we struggled to find something for both of us. In the end we settled, ate our meal, and trudged sleeply back up the hill to our house.
